Enable the Medibuntu Repository and Add w64codecs in Ubuntu Karmic

As stated on the Medibuntu website at Medibuntu.org, Medibuntu is a packaging project dedicated to distributing software that cannot be included in Ubuntu for various reasons, related to geographical variations in legislation regarding intellectual property, security and other issues.  For this reason, some of this software cannot be included in the Ubuntu distribution but it is quite possible that it is legally available in your country for your intended purpose.  Please make sure you are aware of the legality in your country before installing anything.

Ubuntu Karmic makes it easy to add a software repository without using the command line.  You start by adding the software source by going to System -> Administration -> Software Sources. Read the rest of this entry »
