It worked exactly as you described. I have been looking for a way to watch espn360 on linux and this is the best method so far. I got a “rainbow” effect when installing media player the first attempt but it worked the second time (with the right click method described in your post). It works great now. I am going to try and install internet explorer using the same method.

This still isn’t quite working for me. I’m on the latest Wine 1.2 beta (ver. 1.1.40) with Firefox 3.6 and I’ve gotten as far as playing the commercials, but the games won’t actually play. So close! Is this still working for you? Of course, now that the basketball season is over this doesn’t really matter than much anymore.

Oh and, always nice to see Orange fans around the internet! Go Cuse!!

I am trying to watch ESPN360 on a Mac G4 desktop running OSX 10.4. It won’t run on 64-bit browsers, and I think I have the 64-bit Safari and Firefox versions. I’ve read a lot and still can’t find a place to download an old version of Safari. ESPN recommends changing Safari to boot in 32-bit, but I’ve followed instructions, and there’s no place to change it on my Safari 4.0.4.

Could I boot from a Ubuntu disk and watch it that way? Does WINE run on Macs? I’ve used Ubuntu to restore a friend’s PC after a virus attack, and I liked the way it worked.

This method works perfectly. Just watched the end of Kentucky-Tennessee without having to be in Windoze.
Now, if we can just get ‘em to support us natively…

Hmm, looks fine in Chrome with my Windows Vista – I will have to check it out from Linux next time I dual boot.

Very good post. I’ve found your blog via Bing and I’m really glad about the information you provide in your posts. Btw your blogs layout is really messed up on the Chrome browser. Would be cool if you could fix that. Anyhow keep up the great work!
